Evaluation of my blogging experience

To be honest I don’t like write the blogs, and when I say I don’t like, I mean I DON’T LIKE. I think my experience it wasn’t bad, but neither it was good, obviously I knew new words in the process, but I don’t have a good feedback for the future. In this point I need to say I don’t have anything against to the teacher, but this is an evaluation and I need to be honest.

I really hate this day, because I don’t have time to write the blogs, maybe the teacher and the other people say: “Then, how you write this?”, I answer them: “I write this, but I can’t write something more important for other grade”, I try to say that I need choice between write the blog or write my other homework’s. Obviously I finish doing both, but I don’t perform the best way.

I think we don’t have to do this blogs, maybe if we talk more in English during the class, we have immediately the feedback, and maybe the English level we have it going better.

Also I think talk and write in the class is fundamental, especially if we go to the level four.

My favorite food

My favorite food is the noodles with sauce. Always I love this meal, because is very easy cook the noodles and make the sauce, and it’s so delicious eat this with a glass of wine, no matter if this are red or white wine. I think my favorite plate of noodles is the spaghetti with tomato, onion, pepper, garlic and carrots for the sauce.

The first thing I do to make this plate is boild the noodles with water and a piece of salt. Later I wash the vegetables, after of that I peel the carrots, onions, the garlic, tomatoes. Later I cut all the vegetables I have in the table, in small pieces, and a put in frying pan with a little of oil. When the noodles finish their cook, I remove the hot water of the pot, and when the vegetables are ready, I turn off the kitchen.

After of that I blend the sautéed of vegetables with tomato sauce, that one you can buy in the supermarket, and finally I put the noodles in a plate with the sauce on the top with parmesan cheese. Bon appétit. 

This make me mad

I hate a lot of things of society, because the system is wrong, is bad and is insufficient. I think everybody knows the old women in the subway, that I call: “Viejas velociraptor”, because they run so fast for a chair, I know they are old and fragile, but when you saw they run, is a madness, is unnatural.

Other thing that I hate is the people in the subway that try to read the book, the cellphone or the newspaper of the someone else, why they can bring their own books? it is awkward try to read or send messages when somebody is reading the things you write.

In summary, I hate the public transport, not only the subway in Santiago, also the buses or micros. For me is a torture travel every day from my house until the university, because I feel like a piece of the old game call Tetris. We need change the public transport, I need we change that, we can’t conform with this, and I know now is important the education and the AFPs, but this important too, because I talk about life quality.

My favorite subject

I don't have a favorite subject, but I like a few grades that I have this semester, one of them are "Teoría crítica", because the teacher is amazing, and the assistant is so handsome. The name of this teacher is Pierina Ferretti, she is a researcher and a sociologist, and the assistant is Diego Rivera, he is not Diego Rivera the muralist and husband of Frida Kahlo, he is a sociologist too, and both are so young, he 24 years old, and she is a 30 years old, I don’t know, and I don’t care.

In this subject we talk about materialism, Marxism, capitalism, fascism, and other stuff in the same line. Usually we read books of Carlos Marx, Max Horhkeimer, Marshall Berman, Susan Sontag and Antonio Gramsci. Probably this sound so boring, but I think this is very interesting, and when you have a cute man speaking about socialism, well, every women and man goes to this class, no matter their sexuality, because he is so perfect, is the happy box of McDonalds.

In summary, when I sit in the chair, my mind blow up.

Rodrigo Fluxá

This person is Rodrigo Marcelo Fluxá Nebot, a young journalist. He writes amazing books and policial articles, all this historys are in Chile, the last book of him is a collection of the best articles that he write for a magazine, this book call “Crónica Roja”.

He work in Revista Sábado sometimes, why?, because their research take much time, and he need focus in the new, the sources, all the parts of the history, that’s the reason why can’t work every day in this magazine. The most large research that he do, it was about the only homosexual kill in the Dictatorship, for be homosexual, he spend five years in publish this notice.

I always like him, because is so cute and smart. Also because I love the style of their books. The last year I read "Solos en la noche: Zamudio y sus asesinos" and I fall in love of him.

One month ago, I interview Fluxá for a grade, he is more perfect in person, but I think is a little angry, he don't smile or laugh so much.

The story of a picture

That´s me, when I has red hair, the picture is took in january of this year in the Cerro San Cristóbal. That day the weather it was so hot, and I need took fourty photos for a grade.

My friend Abril went to this place with me, because I was be so scare to the "lanzas", I know I sound like a little girl, but when you go a place you don't know, with a expensive camera, that not even is yours, and you stay in this hill all day. Well, you can understand my fear.

I can took the pictures I need, but I went to this hill three days more, because I don’t like the others. I took in total, like 500 photos about nature, the cable car, dogs, beers and pubs, because I went to the “Barrio Bellavista” in the night.

I miss my red hair, I love my green hair, and I in love of photography. That day I learn to love this art.

Childhood Series

When I was I child I remember lot of series and tv programmes that marked my childhood, like Teletubbies, Catdog, Samurai Jack, and  Ed, Edd y Eddy.

Catdog are one of my favorite cartoons, because I love cats and dogs, and also I was wondering, I still wondering, How they go to the bathroom. I know this is a stupid question, but I know everybody wants to know this.


I think the Teletubbies are so weird, because they look like aliens, they faces are so creppy, and the sun with the baby face are so funny. I don't remember why I saw this programme, but I don't care.

The old cartoons teach kids, and they are so better than the new programmes in this categorie, because today all the cartoons like Tio Grandpa o are shit, I'm so sorry for use this expression but is true. What happened with the old school?

Why my career?

When I was a child, my dream jobs are be a chef, a teacher or a librarian. The people know me understand this options, because I love books, cook and teach.

When I applying to this university I don't have other options, all my options are journalism in differents institutions. I decided in my last year in the school that journalism was be the career I want to study. I say: "Journalism is more practice than pedagogy, and I can travel around the world and work in radio."

Actually I love this university and my decision, because the people is amazing. My friends are very nice and soport me every time.

In the future I hope working in a radio, that's my dream, or work in differents investigations.

I will go to this places the tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday and saturday, because I think the monday and sunday are the days I would like to have to arrive England and come back to Chile.

The friday will be the day I would go to parties or dinner in a beautiful place, or simply walk for the streets and meet new people, understand the language, know where is the best universities, libraries, supermarkets, hospitals, the services of first need.

I think this schedule will be very useful for future chilean students, because they will have a idea about the costs, the places that they will visit and how go to this attractions. 

The Turntable

The turntable is great invention, why? Because it is awesome. The sound of this machine is amazing and unique.

The turntable is, generally, a box with space for a vinyl, a disc of music, that sounds when contact with the needle. Also it has knobs that regulate the volumen and velocity of the song. This needs electricity to funcionate. 

I bought a turntable in 2014, in Caracol de Plaza Egaña, it was expensive, but it was worth it. Actually I have three originals vinyls, because I don´t have money to buy more. 

Is really easy use it, because you need a vinyl and electricity, nothing else. I use mine one time a week, or three times a month, because I don´t have much time to listen to vinyls.

I think the world would be sad without the turntable, because it is a wonderful music instrument, and it is the first step to build stereos. 

Autobiography

Hi, my name is Rosario Velasco Castro, I was born in Santiago de Chile, and I am 18 years old, but my birthday is comming, and I will turn 19 soon. I live in Puente Alto, in a very normal house, with my mother Marisa, my father Fernando, my two brothers, the oldest is Martín, and the youngest is Tomás, and my beautiful cat Aretha.

I am a vegetarian since 2011, I like doing sports, but nothing is compared with my love for cooking. I need to say journalism is not my first option, pedagogy it is. But I love my decision of study journalism at Icei, because I like the people, the homeworks and the teachers.
